First Half, Recieving

Kickoff: Brilliant Coaching, both got extra reroll.

My turn 1: Turnover, Fumbled Pass 1, 1.
Ball on the ground, near midfield fairly well protected.
Five rats didn't get to move, should have moved two of them and blocked with a third before attempting the pass.

His turn 1: Some blocks and chainpushes put a blocker next to the ball. Had to use a team reroll on a 1D block to avoid a [SKULL]. He did however not roll a second [SKULL].

My turn 2: Blocks his blocker away from the ball, picks it up, hands off to gutterrunner who runs deep into his half. Moves one rat to mark two dwarfs. Tries to move next one, fails a 3+ dodge, rerolls and fails again. (Dice 1, 1). No more safe moves left, so not really bad played except for it might have been smarter to withdraw and try a different offence.

His turn 2: A few 2D Blocks dropping three rats, a blitz on my carrier downs him, ball bounces right onto the blitzing Trollslayer who catches the ball on a 5+. Moves a few more men to mark some more rats. 2D block knocks out one of my Stormvermin.

My turn 3: Throws a few blocks to get his dwarfs away from my rats, actually breaks armor and stuns a trollslayer, manages to dodge my former carrier away from the double mark, waiting for an opportunity to pounce on a bad roll or mistake. Since he's got a far way to go I'm hoping I will have a chance, even if I'm now one player down. Turn ends with a Turnover from a failed 3+ dodge away from one of his dwarfs. Again rerolled and failed. 1, 1. Last move, so not horribly played, might have been better to not reroll it.

His turn 3: Some movement to start caging up halways into his own field, and marking the rats, blitzes my GR near his carrier, pushes him away.

My turn 4: Blocks his dwarfs away from my rats, dodges my GR away from the dwarfs marking him, tries to dodge my last rat to move away from the dwarf marking him, rolls a one, declines to use a RR.

His turn 4: Moves his dwarfs to mark my rats, blitz my GR close to the ball.

My turn 5: Blitz with a wrestle GR, pushback (Burns a RR on a failed GFI). Blocks a dwarf away, keeps a linerat lying down as he's caught between a Trollslayer and the sideline.

His turn 5: Some blocks and advances a few steps.

My turn 6: Blocks away some dwarfs, dodges a linerat away - again having to use a RR, dodge my GR's away. Position myself in front and back of his cage, leaving a gap in the center of the field to advance through. Also leaves the linerat caught between the sideline and a TS lying and another one between two dwarfs. In retrospect I should've stood the second one up, to force him to at least block him and keep one more dwarf out of caging for at least one turn.

His turn 6: Move the ball through the gap, marks some rats, blitzes my wrodge GR.

My turn 7: My wrodge GR dodges on a 3+ fails, RR (Tackle) succeeds, dodge on 2+ fails, turnover. Mistake - should've moved two unmarked rats first to halt his advance a bit, but to be honest, it probably would not have mattered a bit.

His turn 7: Blocks a few rats, moves his TS carrying the ball both out of reach of any of my rats, and next to the Endzone.

My turn 8: Makes a 1D block. [SKULL] Out of RR's. Turnover.

His turn 8: Blocks and Blitzes, Scores.

Second Half:

His turn 1: Kickoff - Throw a rock, 1 stunned Dwarf, 1 Knocked out Rat, so 11 Dwarfs vs 8 Rats before he's taken a single action. Throws some blocks, ties my rats up, picks the ball up - actually has to use his Sure Hands reroll to do that though.

My turn 1: Start to move my GR's and a Linerat around his troops, to get to the ball. Push a Dwarf back with a block. Makes a 3+ dodge. Didn't use a single reroll, didn't suffer a TO.

His turn 2: Some blocks, a blitz. No armor breaks. Advance a bit.

My turn 2: Blocks to free up my Wrodge GR, dodges past a Blitzer to blitz the carrier, 2D against, use a RR but only gets a Pushback. Again no Turnover.

His turn 3: Advances a bit, Blocks some rats.

My turn 3: Blocks a Dwarf off the pitch 10 - 8 bodies on the field. Throws a 1D block with a skilless linerat vs a trollslayer both down rerolled into a skull. The Linerat is Knocked Out and its a TO. Nothing left to move though.

His turn 4: Advancing and blocking.

My turn 4: A bit of blocks. By Wrodge GR blitzes the carrier and gets the ball free - unfortunately it bounces into a dwarf TZ and none of mine.

A linerat on the other side of the pitch dodges free 3+ RR'ed, my thrower dodges twice, manages to pick the ball up, fumbles, RR's, Succeeds and the Linerat rolls a 1 to catch it. In retrospect it would've been better to stand the GR's up and try to pass to them. Close but no banana. It also meant that I failed to stand no less than 5 rats up leaving a lot of dwarves free to move.

His turn 5: Blocks most of my rats into a nice clump on the far side of the field from the ball. Fails the pickup, but of course it bounces into 3 out of 3 Dwarf TZ's. Again (Third time out of three) worst possible square for me.

My turn 5: 1D Block RR'ed. Gutterrunner rolls 1, 1 for a dodge. TO. Had 2 rats that I could've moved to put two more TZ's of my own on the ball, of course it was a SNAFU not to take those moves first.

His turn 6: One rat is crowdsurfed. One is BH. He Fails the pickup with a 2, 2 using Sure Hands. Ball again bounces into the worst possible spot from my POW.

My turn 6: I now have 6 rats on the pitch, 2 are stunned, another 2 are knocked down, everyone is marked. The GR's dodge free, the LR that can stands up, my stormvermin throws a 2D against block. SKULL. TO.

His turn 7: He blocks my only non-GR standing, picks the ball up and moves up a bit.

My turn 7: Throws a 1D block - SKULL. TO.

His turn 8: Throws 2 blocks then scores.

My turn 8: Nuffle decides he had enough fun at my expense and throws me a Brilliant Coaching on the Kickoff (Actually we tied the roll, but since he had no turns left I consider it going my way).

By now I didn't even try, just trew a few blocks and made a pass.

Of course I should've gone for a OTT.

I can hardly claim I played brilliantly and was shafted by bad luck, but I think I can claim that Nuffle didn't exactly favour the rats this time. My abysmal coaching I blame on being sick, being a bit stressed by the constant conversation (after about 20 minutes my opponent breaks his silence with a friendly "Can you play faster please."), being rusty (just got back to BB after a 6 year hiatus) and just not being terribly good.

And of course I lost a point of FF.

One skill: Linerat Will Goedown. To make sure he lives up to his name there will be a wrestle on him.
