Striker smartly fouls the danger wolf out the game twice - first a KO, then a casualty! Still, on the Red Corsair reply drive, the ball is sent loose by a marauding zombie, and the ghoul and other wolf just need to dodge free to set up a probable 2-0... the ghoul faceplants. Ghoul!
1-1 at half time, and the human drive gets a big help from a snaked go for it by a flesh golem - before I'd made a block that turn; silly Chainsaw! Just when it looked like a Red Corsair score for 2-1 and Pig Sty Alley chasing a draw, Striker opted to stall and skill a blitzer, giving the defense time to reorganize and get the diving tackle wolf on the ball carrier.
With the blitzer needing help to shove off the wolf, a catcher tries to slip his marker and now it's Striker's turn to suffer the failed dodge that would have probably secured his touchdown, the player faceplanting just like the ghoul.
After the blitzer was surfed, the dice abandoned Striker as the ball repeatedly scatters my way and was always in multiple tacklezones. Nuffle made things tense, a set of skulls prematurely ending turn 6, forcing the ghoul to make 4 gfis to score, but when the penultimate one failed pro saved the day!
Close game against a great coach, whose tactics made most ineffective or failed turns fairly costly. Fortunately the one bad decision he made was the one that gifted Pig Sty Alley the win!
In hindsight, I got away with some silly mistakes.”
