“Turning up at the Skaven stadium, the Halfling fans were told that the only food available for the match would be cheese-based snacks, this being the favourite food of the Skaven home team. This angered the travelling supporters so much, that a riot broke out. Stalls were smashed and seats destroyed as the brawling halfling and skaven fans spilled out onto the pitch. With six turns already lost, the game finally got underway after someone opened a packet of "Uncle Itchy's Pork Scratchings" and began sharing them around.

The 'Berries received the ball, but couldn't hold on to it as it was fumbled time after time. The speedy Skaven quickly took advantage, surging in for a swift touchdown before the whistle signalled halftime.

The second half saw the Skaven receive the ball and once again charge up the field. A few Halflings managed to get close to the ball, but were swiftly overpowered or outrun by the scampering rats. A second touchdown by Niche, the inevitable end to the play. The next kickoff saw the Halflings attempts to score scuppered by poor throws by the Treemen leaving players sprawled on the ground. This left the Skaven to once again move into position for a third touchdown. However, with the ball on the opposite flank, Skaven lineman Mojo decided to foul prone Treeman Jeff, seriously injuring him and getting himself sent off in the process. With no hope of stopping the score, the Halfling team made a quick exit to avoid any further injuries, leaving Niche to complete his run to score a third touchdown.

I've never been a fan of speed based teams, they only seem to have one option in games and this proved no different here. A boring match for me, with dice simply not going my way at all, almost every reroll failing too. Thankfully the six turn riot was a benefit rather than a hinderance. After considering conceeding shortly after the Skaven's second touchdown, I didn't after a pointless foul seriously injured my Treeman, so I finished the game in the hope of having enough money to buy a replacement rather than having to play another under strength game. As people always say; "one of those games that makes you feel like giving up you team."”
