“The ghoul Conan was named team captain after a fantastic individual performance resulted in a hard-fought win vs Entropy Boys. The Chaos side were able to gain a 3 player advantage in the first half, despite the blocking game being even. The Saboteurs were nonetheless able to maintain the scoreless draw after the team's only werewolf was KOed on turn 4. Conan blitzed an enemy beastman, pushing the ballcarrier into zombie Jacob. The followup block from Jacob was true, and the ball was knocked lose for the second time on the drive. As the halftime whistle went, a viscous foul on designated hitter and wight Alpha left the team with 9 players, two men short for the second half.

The second half saw Conan retrieve the kick far in the backfield and move rapidly towards midpitch. On turn two, seeing his outmanned side badly losing the blocking lane, the blodging ghoul knew that the team's only chance was to score quickly and hope that coach Rat was able to coax his two star blitzers back into the game. His team did their best to hold off the blockers while Conan burst towards the near sideline, all alone and in the clear. The budding star's blodge resisted the blitz of the Chaos beastman, but found himself flanked by a pair of enemy players with no other teammates nearby. The nimble Ghoul took a deep breath and dodged twice, between the defenders and on towards the endzone. 1-0 for the good guys.

Unfortunately, the next drive would prove difficult. Neither blitzer were able to return to the pitch, and Conan settled into his safety position. The kick was poor, and the Chaos side were able to form a cage on turn 5 just past midpitch. Conan threw himself into the fray, knocking over a beastman at the corner of the Chaos cage. Settling in alongside the ballcarrier, the stage was set for a frantic 3 turns to close out the match.

The beastman ballcarrier charged, driving his horns into Conan, knocking him back, but still on his feet. The ball and another enemy player sprinted past Conan, settling a mere 6 squares from the endzone, threatening to tie the game on the very next turn. Sprung free by a timely zombie block, Conan again lunged towards the ballcarrier, and with a jarring collision knocked the beastman out cold. The ball popped right into Conan's hands, and although he dropped it, he was able to quickly scramble upon the loose ball. Just yards from his own endzone, Conan awaited the response from the Chaos side.

Conan absorbed the blow from the enemy blitzer, and dodged nimbly away. The crowd gasped as he launched a perfect spiral nearly the length of the pitch, far beyond the reach of any player. As the infuriated Chaos players ground his teammates into the pitch, Conan celebrated a hard fought 1-0 victory, and his new title as team captain.
