“With this game, the Blews' coach finally joined the ranks of the filthy luckers**.
(**only karma in this case though, given some really crappy luck in Da Blews' previous 2 matches).
Here it is in brief:
SilverD is a good coach, and his khemri were kicking Da Blews all over the pitch (first team to really do so with ease). In the first half, the ancient ones rightly stopped Da Blews from scoring, and knocked out several key orcs.
The increasingly desperate Blews coach then called his 'Plan E' into effect, which consisted of playing like Elves (lots of dodging and foolish blitzes, with plenty of GFIs). Against the odds, Plan E began to work and it marked the beginning of the filthy lucker phenomenon.
Kicking to the bandaged freaks at the start of the second half, and left with only 7 orcs to defend against a full-strength khemri offence, Da Blews still needed a Christmas Miracle to win. And they got one. Some poor ball handling by the khemri, and the quick thinking and feet of Kulgha (the blessed +AG orc blitzer), lead to an improbable blitz, a dodge away, a more improbable 2x GFI sprint, and an even more improbable score. Ah well, that is foozball. Happy days.
A truly memorable game and a great learning experience for the n00b orc coach.
