#12 Boris von Winkle – Smashed Knee (NI) #15 Mary von Winkle – Smashed Knee (NI)
“A very tight grinding game...
The Rotting Flesh had some difficulty picking up the ball at first, but eventually managed to pass the ball upfield to Lord Soth, who was promptly flattened by the Foul Wind's defence.
In the scrap that ensued, Rotting Flesh Werewolf Fang recovered the ball and ran in the TD.
The second half was an ugly melee, which the Rotting Flesh were slowly losing as they had 2 players knocked out, and another two seriously injured during the brawl. The Foul Wind kept trying to hunt Fang, but he kept dodging away to strike elsewhere.
Despite being down 4 players, the Rotting Flesh capitalised on the Foul Wind's lack of skills, by applying tacklezones everywhere, and forcing the Foul Wind's players to through the occasional bad block, and more importantly, making it difficult for them to get to the ball.
At the very end, the Wind had a difficult chance to win if they could pick up the ball with a Beastman, and throw a short pass to a Rotter who would have to go for it to score. It proved to be too much and the Rotting Flesh escaped with a win, an excellent 80,000 Gold Crowns in gate takings and match winnings, and thousands of new memberships signed by wannable Rotting Flesh fans.”
