#9 Sir Phillipe – Dead (RIP) #15 kano – Broken Neck (-AG)
“Pretty decent game over all. Didn't get the beating I expected until the start of the 2nd half, when 2 of the 3 blocks on the LOS were BH and Kill. But other than that, I pretty much dominated the game here.
1st TD, I got him to over commit to one side, and then reverse direction to score pretty much untouched. Kicking off to him, he failed to pick up the ball, which gave me the chance to get in and eventually scoop up the ball and score right before halftime.
2nd half, despite going down in numbers when his blocking game started to pick up, I was able to delay him enough that an opening finally came--he left his BC next to a down, but unstunned Minotaur (he'd survived the foul), who promptly blitzed and took down the BC. Da Rock, came in and actually picked up the ball in a TZ and broke tackle to get away, then broke tackle the next turn to sprint into the EZ for the 3rd TD, leaving my opponent 2 turns to score.
Deep kick left the ball in the EZ, and a pow/skull result on the LOS left it there for turn 7. But he did run 2 players deep enough to score, so I knocked one down, and put 3 TZ's on the other.
Unfotunately, my opponent display a distinct lack of class or sportsman ship by fouling on turn 8...without even trying to score (or even pass the ball for a SPP). Yes, it was on a Sneaky Git..so on the scale of things, not really that bad, but still, I don't consider it a sportmanlike thing to do to foul on turn 16 at all--no gain to your team at all--no spp's, not position..heck, it wasn't even a high SPP player--it was hobgoblin with sneaky git..easily replaced
Been a while since I had such a smooth game on my end..been loosing quite a bit of late (I am just an average coach).
got another guard blocker..replaced Sir Phillipe..probably will fire the gimped sneaky git. ”
