“The Origami Slaan caught us flat footed at the start of this match as they blitzed forward. We managed to group around the ball carrying skink and repelled a couple of leaping blitzes, a catcher being badly hurt in an early attempt. After a halt Velocidad went to the end zone but slipped on his last stride! Spica, a catcher, got the ball but also overexerted himself and fell too. Loco recovered the ball and we got the td. On the restart more dashing around saw another Slaan slip and we got to half time 1 up. Diablo had been impressive in his lack of intelligence with multiple moments where he stood dumbfounded. He had 7 of these moments by the end of the match! The lack of block also was making things tricky.
2nd half a Slaan failed a handoff so we were all over them. They got the ball back after we pressured them but eventually a lone Slaan was put down and we surrounded the ball. Spica magnificently took the ball from amongst our players but was brought down just as it seemed he would escape. From then on our superior strength and numbers showed and in the end we got the ball to Spartacus for a rare Saurus td.
