“This game just had a string of insane injuries, starting with a freak foul on turn 1 that put Boomer, the main Vault Tec Blitzer, into the hospital, apo failed. As the humans attempted to stall on offense, they continued taking heavy casualties, eventually being forced to score on turn 6.

The next drive, Bachelor, the Vault Tec Squad thrower, bravely stood defending the Blitzers and Catcher, using his own body as a shield. This went awry for him, however, since Saurus are known to eat shields–– human or otherwise. He was sadly torn to bits, and his 5 agility was strewn around the pitch in small piles.

However, an impressive series of dodges allowed a Blitzer to knock the ball from lizards' hands, and stop the score, shortly before being pushed into the crowd and badly hurt by their rocks. That first half ended 0-1, but left the humans with only 5 players the next drive.

The Vault Tec fans, furious that their team was so outnumbered, decided that they needed to storm the pitch, stunning 6 members of the Lizard team, including the entire lizard backfield, and also accidentally the human thrower (who was nearly saurus-sized). This brought the numbers from 5-9 to 4-3. Not to be so easily outdone, the Lizards took out one more human, and then used their last remaining skink to grab the ball. The humans fought bravely, and almost stopped the score on many occasions, but the lizards were finally able to bring in their first TD after 13 turns of stomping. The human KO's were too sleepy to return to the pitch, which left the humans with only 2 to set up with, and 3 turns to stop the lizards from grabbing the ball and scoring.

The Vault Tec fans were then driven into an insane rage, and after deciding that 3 turns was too many, proceeded to riot in the stands, costing the game another turn, and leaving the Lizards with only 2 turns (and no RR) to make a winning touchdown. They were unable to reach the ball at first, and instead put the catcher into the dugout. It then looked like the final human Blitzer would pass the ball out of reach. But Nuffle intervened (BLESSÈD BE HIS NAME!!), and the poor chap tripped, and an excited skink grabbed the ball and dashed into the endzone.

Coach OenarLor was a gentleman throughout, despite his brave team having suffered horrific injuries. Not every man can lose players like these and keep a good face on it! Also, an excellent coach, who kept the game close all the way until the end, even in the face of tremendous odds.

Update: Injuries spill over into the next game, where we kill a further ~200 spp of players, including a ClawPOMB warrior and an Ag5 Beastman. Apparently the saurus are so jealous of other players' agility that they kill anyone with too much!”
