Kondor thanked Coach Elliott for the incredible match, and his unwaivering sportsmanship throughout. This one was a match to be remembered. It seems that is how the games are between these two coaches. Perhaps it is not the games, but the game chatter that make it worth while.

This one started at the coin toss with Kondor warning Coach Elliott that flings foul very often. He smiled and said "Of course they do."

The flings received and immediately knocked down the humans most valuable blitzer. In comes Crack with the boot to the genetalia. There was no doubt he would take the remainder of the match to recover. The steel toe had done it's job.

With that, the flings began working donw the field. Always keeping a watchful eye on the other human blitzer. They marked most of the humans, but tried to stay out of 7's clutches. With half time approaching, it seemed the flings would not score. Boom made a mad dash to pick up a ball the crowed had thrown to the center of the pitch. Then pushed himself to make it to the safety of the trees. As time was about to expire he handed it to Thump who alsodid everyting he could and made it to the endzone as time expired.

By this time, things had become bloody. Only 7 humans answered the second half bell. Once again, 7 was tasked with doing the heavy lifting. With Ball in hand, it looked like he may escape for an improbably score. This time Zoom was the hero scoring one of two casualties on the day and putting the blitzer on the bench. Squish picked it up and moved as fast as his little legs could take him for the score.

Finally, with time running down on the clock, only 4 humans took to the pitch. Coach Elliott screamed a challenge and pointed at the clock. "No Way you can get a third point you dirty flings"

Zap immediately went for the pick reunning down into scoring range. With the last few seconds on the clock, Squish scooped up a ball that had just been blitzed free hurried to Zap and handed it to him. Zap did his part, and wandered in for the last score of the match.

The crowd was in stunned awe! As was coach Kondor.

Thanks for the match Elliott. I thought you were going to choose the match up this time. Sorry, flings seemed like the fairest fight I could find. You will have your revenge. I am sure of it.

#8 8 – Smashed Ankle (-MA)
I would like to set the record straight on a few things:

First off, I knew that I was going to loose this match coming into it. "Why? They're just halflings!", you say. That's exactly why. Because they're halflings. Can you think of another team in which you can purchase 14 players for next to nothing? For every one you kill or knock out there are two more sitting on the bench, awaiting their chance to get out on the pitch and kick you in the twig and giggle-berries. Don't believe me? Ask Number 3. He's the guy sitting with the icepack on his groin. Sheer numbers can make a mighty difference. Never forget that.

Secondly, I said, "I believe you can do it", in reference to scoring a third touchdown. I only had four (4) players on the field, which was reduced to three(3), at which point I said, "You should take a screen shot of this."

Lastly, it was another enjoyable match between coach Kondor and myself. Plenty of laughs, a couple of crazy plays, and a fun time had by almost all. At least my other blitzer, the one which you knocked silly in the second half, earned enough for a skill roll. Little victories.
