“The third and final match of the WIL Fringe Shetland Division XVI and by far the toughest.
Receiving, the wolf was over eager. It ran at a Slaan opponent and couldn't escape the both down over 4 dice. The frog was OK, but the wolf hurt itself and failed to regenerate - disastrous start.
The team made a daring attempt to slip past the side of the defense - just to set itself up in a trap. 1 leap and the ghoul was about to meet its fans, but the leap failed and another failed go for it the next turn handed WILey Foxes the 1-0 lead.
Soon there were 2 zombies accompanying the the wolf in the casualty box, and there was no stopping the equalizer by half time.
9 on the Necromantic defense, but fortunately a knocked out opponent left 10 on offense. The Slaan offensive line was fairly straight down the half way line, so the zombies and golems met them head on. When another leap failed, there was a fight on for the ball, which the golems marked to great effect. Another leap failed again, and this time a ghoul ran in to mop up and run clear for the unexpected winner.
Oryx had the best of the block dice by far, but it was counter balanced by dreadful leap dice which cost him the match.”
