The characters of Firehurler got all they could handle in this one. Starting with the ball, we made an orderly march down the field, taking up half of the first half, with Kyrus Hinterdale taking the ball in himself. With a one-turner on the skaven roster, we knew stalling wasn't going to help much.
We played defense after that, and kicked opposite the Mayham Môr setup, and shallow. With a failed pickup, we secured the ball, and Juliana Archon brought it in for the score in T8.
One-turning. That happened.
One-turning. That happened again.
After scoring in our own T8 for a 2-0 lead, our second half first turn saw the score tied. We scooped up the kick and tried to punch our way through midfield, intending to take up the whole half if possible, hurt the one-turner as a backup plan. Well, mission #1 failed, mission #2 accomplished (BH was apo'ed). An inopportune skull/skull left the ball exposed and we lost it quickly. Unable to dodge away from a tail, we couldn't stop them before Mayham Môr went up 3-2.
Fortuntely, on our tying drive, only a single gutter got in our way. We forced him to wrestle himself to the ground to take the tie in T8/H2.
