“Texas placed all their inducements on a Bribe to the refs, hoping to foul their way to equalize the player-skill imbalance, but put on the velvet gloves instead of the iron ones. Almost stopped the first score on Turn 8, came down to a single missed dodge to surf the ballcarrier. Then got knocked around some more to start the second half (including some un-bribed fouls in response by Colorado!), and never really regained their balance against 2 Guards.

Texas' odds-against Turn 16 scoop & long pass for their sole score makes it look closer than it felt at the end.
