The second round match for the Brawlers against Cirque couldn’t have gone much better. The game started with the Brawlers setting the edge on defense and penetrating Cirque’s line to force the ball free. Some solid hitting saw the Brawlers get a strong personnel advantage, but unfortunetly the killer instinct needed to land permanently damaging blows was missing. Despite dominating, Stabbity from the Zuvassins managed to sneak in, pick up the ball and run down the sideline toward the endzone. Luckily, the Brawlers were able to stop him, recover the ball and move it up the field for a score in the final moments of the first half.

The second half was highly entertaining, with 4 touchdowns being scored. The Zuvassins managed to overcome their Kos from the first half and return to the field to put on a decent show for defense, forcing the Brawlers to score early in the half. On the next drive things looked bleak for Cirque until they managed to sneak the Boss through the defense of the Brawlers and into the endzone for a TD. Maintaining the pace, the Brawlers launched a quick drive again and scored in quick succession to win 3-1. But Hold on! A bold and successful throw saw the Boss land on his feet deep in the Brawlers territory and once again end up in the endzone.

The Bayshore Buff’s 3-2-1 Voting
3- Uncle Wally – lead the way on the important TD drives and handled the ball with excellent skill to set things up for victory.
2- Lucky – Showed some skill in handling the ball and marking a few of the bigger threats of the Cirque.
1- Butch – was in the thick of it all game, taking on the bigger opponents of the Zuvassins.
