First half, we turned the necro drive into a brawl in a phone booth (link for those who have never seen one in your lifetime). While Claws of the Night had a respectable amount of Guard for their part, they struggled with the fact that the sauruses were also ST4. It took most of the half, but we eventually boxed the ball in, and after a frustrating turn of 8 or so dice without a POW, knocked it loose the turn after. That led to an improbably Saurus/Saurus pass (though the passer was AG2 with SH) for a T8 score.
Second half started with Perfect Defense. The aforementioned Guard and free positioning mucked up my LOS quite efficiently. I had a rookie saurus with a nice 2db that would begin unraveling it to good advantage and a few more than the typical 3+blitz starting blocks for offense. {BothDown}/{BothDown}/reroll/{Skull}/{Skull} =/
A wolf managed to mark the ball. I was unable to secure it myself and the wolf elfed it in for the last score of the game.
The final drive of mine bogged down near the goal line. A last ditch wolf/wolf pass was completed, but one last 3+ to score with just 2 GFI ahead failed.
GG Toombs. It was a nice change to pick up the old lizards again.”
