Lizards recieved the kick but scored too quickly. The Elves ran in an equaliser, then got a blitz on the kick off which allowed them to go 2 - 1 up. After half time, the Lizards kicked and the Elves ran in a third. On the resulting kick off, the Elves threw another blitz and swarmed around the ball. The match looked finished, but in rushing forward on the blitz the Elves ended up putting themselves in a bad spot and consequent ate a beatdown of blocks that put several in the hospital. The lizards recovered, ran in a TD to make it 3 - 2.
On the next kickoff the Elves were seriously short of players and couldn't shield the ball. The carrier got sacked and a skink nicked the ball for a last turn equaliser.
