“These elves keep bringing it!

My first matchup vs Khermi as Elf. I am playing against a legendary coach. For Khermi his lineup didn't look too tough.

I was kicking off and got Blitz! Fxiii picked up the ball easily enough and it didn't amount to much of an advantage. I was able to pull off a 2 GFI blitz on his ball carrier though and stun him while sending three guys to the ball. He countered leaving 2 men on the ball. I -2d blocked his guardian into the ball and it bounced out in my favor. I grabbed the ball and ran in for a quick 2 turn TD. He caged his ball carrier and I was not able to stop him 1-1 tie with one turn left. He got perfect D ending any OTT chance.

I got the ball and decided with the advantage that a stall was in order. I stalled for 5 turns and then the unthinkable happened. He blitzed my ball carrier with his BT guardian and it worked! I was in trouble but luck was on my side as I was able to dodge 4+ pick up the ball 4+ and dodge to safety. The rest of my players also dodged and tried to setup some wall around the ball carrier. Luckily he had used his reroll to setup the block. I then ran my catcher in for a TD leaving 2 turns left.

My kicker was out and fxiii ended up getting the ball to any player. He choose his thro-ra. He caged in my territory and I tried to setup a decent defense. Luckily he ended up using a reroll on a GFI and when his thro-ra went to GFI for a TD he tripped. Game Over 2-1 elves for a lucky victory.

I'll have to watch out for the BT blitz next time and try to mark his guardian better.”
