“Peter scratched frantically at his head. All of the warpstone he had recently consumed had caused horns to sprout from his head. Though he was grateful to The Horned One for blessing him so, he did have to admit that the horns did itch maddeningly. The team had been assembled for the last match of training camp; a "friendly" meeting between the VCP and a traitorous skaven clan who were willing to allow filthy goblins upon their team. Even worse, that stupid, smelly, troll that even now was babbling on unintelligibly as the other team did their best to get that creature on to the pitch for the match.
"Let's make this quick," Peter thought to himself, "because this place stinks."

We kicked off to the underworld team, just as a rock flew out of the crowd and stunned one of their blitzers on the line, but they were able to collect the ball and form a loose cage with some of their rats and goblins, behind the troll at midfield. We blitz in, knocking down several players, including that troll, getting within reach of their thrower holding the ball. The throw made an attempt to put to space between him and the advancing VCP by stepping back, but this left him exposed, as Peter got to test out his new horns, knocking the thrower down, and setting the ball scattering away. A goblin block gone wrong against Adrian V was all it took to set the play in motion, as Adrian V sprinted into the endzone, and John Paul II collected the ball, making in easy touchdown completion.
We kicked off again, but this time, they were ready for us. The got the drop on us, paying us back for their injured gobo with a troll lead block which removed Martin V from the match, and again collecting the ball. We set up defensive position, but the goblin/rat combo continued to skittered from one cage to the next; until a failed dodge, and a stupid troll left the ball carrier exposed. Constanine blitzed in and eliminated their thrower, who necessitated the use of the apothecary to keep him in this match. A superstar double dodge pick-up was made be JP II, skirting the ball away from the underworld team. But a blitz came in and set JP II down on the pitch, and the VCP could not regroup in time to stop the linerat from walking in an easy touchdown. Game tied, 1-all.
There was just not enough time left in the half to score, as the VCP line up to receive the kick off. Thankfully, it was at this point the tensions in the crowd erupted into a full blown riot, giving us that much needed extra time to make one last play. The ball was thrown to Peter, who advanced into scoring distance under heavy coverage, but he was knocked unconscious, and the ball bounced away, yet still within reach. Julius II then came through with an amazing display of agility, double dodging, collecting the ball, and sprinting the remaining distance to score our second touchdown of the first half.
We were playing 9-on-10 as the ball dropped down from a shallow kick, leaving us no choice but to make a break for the sideline. The ball was tossed deep to Peter who was safely defended, until an amazing dodging block by a goblin pushed him off of the pitch and into the crowd. The ball was thrown in to rest at the feet of one of the underworld blitzers, but two of our linerats made the effort of taking down that blitzer, leaving Adrian V free to dodge over and collect the ball for his second touchdown of the match. 3-1, VCP.
The rest of the match turned into a violent debacle, willed with injuries(including the troll being taken out), and disturbing gang fouls. The underworld team did manage to make it into the endzone, towards the end of the half, but not with enough time to attempt to even the score. Final: 3-2, VCP.

Great job both both teams and both coaches.”
