#7 Goblin-Slicer – Dead (RIP)
With all their Guard and Claw, I was dreading this match as it began.

However, a run of bad dice resulted in 2 rapid Turnovers for the CDs, and although there were hard hits on both sides, I was able to take the ball in for a defensive TD on turn 5. A Riot and no CD RR sealed the deal, and the first half ended 1-0.

Setting up 9 vs 10, a bone-headed by the krox weakened our position, and although we tried to tie up the dwarves with saurus, Amerigo, a particularly fearless CD blocker was able to get a Pow/Defender Stumbles on a -2D block, and freed up a blitzer who proceeded to smash the ball-skink into the turf. We recovered the ball and dashed towards the End-Zone, but once again, Coach Nicolazafante was able to free up a dwarf and take the skink down, this time following up with a deadly foul (after some hesitation, the Apo rushed in to save him).

Nuffle seemed to have abandoned us, as our blocks became fruitless, but eventually Rat-Killer was able to foul a Dwarf off the pitch, and remainder became too dispersed to guard each other. A lucky blitz by the Krox allowed us to free up our unskilled saurus, who grabbed the ball and took it in for a TD. In a final stroke of Nuffle love, the same saurus was able to pull down the MVP too, which gave him his second skill roll in 2 games, and putting him (now that he has Block) over the hump of liability/danger.

On the other hand, we have somehow managed to lose out #9 skink YET AGAIN, which means that this unlucky position now accounts for 4 out of 5 deaths that the team has suffered. We hope that his replacement fares better than her 6 predecessors...

Coach Nicolazafante played a good game, and was cordial and friendly, despite bad dice.
He even felt apologetic for killing my skink... what a charmer!
