“This was Hellmouth's first match against another Squig and Farmer team, and they were more experienced than us so we hired in some famous players. A good match, hard fought but Big King pulled out the victory for us.
The crowd were in the majority supporting the Splat Farmers and one of the hardcore fans stunned Big King with a well thrown rock. Devil Keepa was badly hurt by their super star Hopscotch while some of our players charged forward after a failed goblin pass left the ball isolated. Devil Rida got to it but another Hopper, 4th time Lucky, promptly ko'd him. Lorebass also scooped up the ball but also he was smashed down. Fourth time lucky picked up and we started to look light on players for the drive as our gobbos were sent flying. But we kept attempting the sack and somehow we had slowed them down enough so they couldn't make it to our endzone, not helped when their hopper stopped to bite a gobbo hard.
Second half we looked a bit more controlled but the Farmers sent hoppers and squigs leaping in at the cage. 4th time lucky leapt awkwardly and was badly hurt, after that things became easier though other squigs tried to get at the ball. Big King made the crucial td without loitering too long.
In the end there was still chance for either team to score but Devil Rida pushed their reciever into the stands and Lorebass was hurt before he could get the ball back to Big King. As it was it was enough for us. Good game.”
