“Well we are the Hellmouths but we were suffering a first half from hell here. We recovered but not quite enough and Devil Rida was retired. Challenging game!

The Strigoyan recruited Tasty Tom and 2 thralls to boost their numbers, which came in handy with all the blood lusting.
It started off promising as we blitzed forward but a major screwup happened when big King tried to leap over thralls and misjudged it. He fell, was fouled and ko'd. Moments after Devil Rida and a Herder was ko'd while another was seriously injured in some furious blocking. We were in a mess and the whole half was just an exercise in getting beaten. The Strigoyan lord was awesome and many of his followers effective too. There was a moment when two squigs got at the carrier but they didn't do enough and the Vamps got their score.
Second half it was 9 v 11 players but Monkey and Devil Keepa bashed up 2 thralls to level it. Devil Keepa was now hitting hard and Big King went one way with the ball and then the other. Devil Rida took some foul punishment but Big King made the td.
On the final drive the Vamps badly hurt one herder but then the Vampires started lusting for thrall blood. They were almost undone but Ashamed Kenthis kept getting away. The Lord also smashed in Devil Rida's skull, retiring him from Bloodbowl just as he had started showing improvement. We still got in their way with hope to make the defence good but then in the end it came down to a ttm which went surprised us and went gloriously for the Vamps. The thrall was hurled right on a squig's head, somehow bouncing off to his feet before making it to the endzone. Overall a good match, certainly plenty of hurt.”
