“A better team and a far more experienced coach as an enemy are the explanation for this fatal second game - though not the excuse.
It started out bad, right away with the Smurfs fans invading the game field right before the game begun, knocking out 3 players so bad they had to be carried from the playing field. Having one player injured from the last game, and Gnoarloak Greenleaf slumbering in the forest left us with a 6 vs. 11. The fact that a wood elf team has fans like that should make WalFootrot blush in shame - his team scored though, professionally as they were. Not that it would have made any difference at all as the following minutes were going to proof.
Time after time the Woodhuggers were outcountered, knocked unconscious and beaten ... to say it clearly, we were without the slightest chance.
The only somewhat promissing scene for us happened in the second half, after a quick successful blitz Glithrambor Culas made it far into the enemy half, and Ameng Ping was throwing a clear nice pass from the back of the field - but, was lack of skill the reason for the bad turnout so far, bad luck stroke now as the only Smurf player able to reach the ball intercepted it.
Gnarloak Greenleafs decent performance in a totally hopeless game has to be mentioned - sadly his age shows in a nagging injury he caught after the game was over on the way back to his beloved wood. I have to count this as a more than a fair punishment for his way to brutal block that sends Harmony Smurf off for the next game of the Smurfs.
With a negative TD difference of -4 we should be should be lucky that it didn't turnout worse.”
