To start with a Snot picked up but was stunned as a leaping Legolas somehow got over the ogres and smashed into him. Les Kellet recovered it but Legolas had the audactiy to blitz him and take the ball from him! We got him down andcrowded the ball but couldn't get it again. A catcher showed his worth by grabbing it from under the wrestlers noses and handing it off for a td.
On our drive as Elves came at us Little Lord Lucan got th eball to Haystacks who romped off to the other end. Bulldog cleared the way and we got the equalizer.
Second half Legoals went to one flank and then they zoomed over to the other side with another elf getting the td. BUT Giant Haystacks piled on to Lumber the treeman to take him out of the game and Les badly hurt an Elf while another one hurt itself.
Les got the ball on the drive but again Legolas came in causing trouble. We were outnumbering them but just couldn't get a handle on the ball. It took some serious work but after getting rid of more elves eventually little Tom Cruise picked up and just managed to get himself far enough to get the 2nd. Good match.
