I cost myself the game by making rash opening blocks, leaving the ball wide open assuming the big guy 3D would come off. I even moved a covering player to make the assist for 3D. Given that I turned over the 2nd half, this was a game losing action.
An amazing number of loner rerolls succeeded on both sides, until finally The Count falls over to signal overtime.
----DICE WHINGE BELOW----
Dreadful opening dice ended my chances on my 1st half drive as the ogre and troll couldn't get away from both downs and skulls, no matter how many block dice were involved. Meanwhile, my marauders were getting their clocks cleaned with 1D POWs, and I'd all but given up given the one sided nature of the game - it was that bad.
The 2nd half though turned it around after nearly all the knocked out marauders made a return and the troll and ogre started to knock out thralls. The Count thought he could take on everybody and a loner double skulled against him, but rerolled to double pows to set up 1-1.
In the last moments of normal time, The Count failed the go for it to gaze the ogre, required for a late winner, so overtime it was - with no rerolls for either team - but my dice melted again back to 1st half form. Consecutive double skulls and both downs ended the defense.”
