The only player you could consider a 'hitter' on the team was seriously injured on the first hit. Perhaps I should have deployed the apothecary, but you know how those (SI apos) go...

So I persevered. For once, the bomber was brilliant - almost too good. 4 accurate bombs would have normally caused havoc. Sadly, the only havoc they caused was an early turnover as I'd missed my stunned dark elf that was tucked behind the minotaur. Cats scored, despite having no rerolls, as he incurred no key fails at all.

A riot gave me a chance to equalize, but Nuffle was less interested. I failed 1 of 2 gfis required, meaning I had no rerolls left for the pass... animosity failed.

My drive was going OK with a couple of surfs keeping me competitive. However I'd missed the strip ball skill in my marking. My rerolls were disappearing on failed 2+ rolls, and another meant the pass was too risky. The blitz on my dark elf caused a badly hurt and that basically sealed the loss.
