It actually made for an enjoyable game, due to the utter failure by the flings.
Loads of laughs. And at least I learned an important lesson: When you get a blitz and the ball "lands" by the sideline, make sure to check the scatter rolls before you toss a fling to try and catch it. The fact that the ball icon is on the pitch, doesn't mean it's on the pitch. A fair warning to other stunty coaches. Be careful.
