“My 300th Blackbox game. This was a hard-fought struggle but also odd. The Tools weren't really breaking armor much (in fact, they kept getting stunned) but the wood elves kept failing dodges even with rerolls.
The game really hinged on a wood elf turnover around T4 or T5 1st half when the ballcarrier was unprotected. I got the ball, but then committed my own turnover. Fortunately I was able to mark the ball first, and the elves had another bad turn. I got it out, lost it, got it back and was able to hang onto it and prevent the 1st half score. 2nd half the Wardancers were going after the ball a lot, but it was the Wrestle/Dauntless catcher that actually popped it loose. Was able to recover, and wait for the inevitable Leap/Dodge fail. The Wardancer obliged, and I caged up to end the half. Almost gave up the tie as the woodies got a Quick Snap and had a very nice 1turn attempt set up. Then they got a rain of POWs instead of pushes and my Longbeard took a dive to secure the win.
Thanks for the game, cagouillemaster. It was well played.”
