Game started innocently enough: Crunk receiving and kickoff result was Blitz!, letting the crafty Dauphins into the backfield. Luckily the kick was deep enough that the ball couldn't be corralled, and Indy made a wall and hoped for the best. Unfortunately, a derptastic throw by Faulk left the ball on the ground and set up a quick score for Miami. Receiving again, Indy marched downfield, but Braylon Marechal crushed the ball near the Miami endzone. A quick dodge by a catcher and Indy looked to go down 0-2 when journeyman Zachary Weakstream flashed brilliance and intercepted the pass in 3 tacklezones. He then dodged away and scored on turn 7 to seal his new contract. Attempting to score in two, Miami maneuvered their rookie catcher, Guilly Alain, into scoring range. He just needed two GFIs to get there... but tripped and killed himself just shy of the TD. Coach ryanfitz, disappointed in such poor play, asked his apothecary to look away as the mangled corpse was scraped off the field.
Second half, tied 1-1, with Miami receiving, and Indy's journeyman just would not die. In fact, Sean Vilefire took a barrage of LOS blocks, kept his feet, and returned the favor for a casualty. With a slight numbers advantage, Indy attacked Braylon and started pressuring the ball. This is when things started to get wacky... and the pows started to flow. Pows and the splashing sound of dead elves. By the time Braylon was within scoring range, the Pro Elves were down to the scraps of a team. Unfortunately, with no one to guard Marechal, Manning was able to level him with a vicious block. The doctor scrambled out to have a look but once he saw the twisted, twitching wreck, he barely did more than shake his head and pronounce Braylon "dead as hell." After that it didn't take much for Indy to run in a couple of scores against the deflated, depleted elves.
Massive win made possible by a huge effort from Indy's journeyman and lots of wicked bodyblows, pows, and insane dice... Am looking forward to our next match! Have a feeling we might get some karma blowback in it ;)”
