#7 Goblik – Dead (RIP)
#9 Herdy Gerdy Gerdy – Gouged Eye (MNG)
#10 Stik et up 'em – Groin Strain (MNG)
The Halflings from the Northern Wastes came into this match with King Tot bolstering their ranks. Straight away Chaos reigned. After a crowd riot the opening hits where Hellmouth ko'd by a saw, a herder ko'd by a spawn and a herder killed by King Tot! 4 armed Kaakus picked the ball and then we struck back, though ko'ing of 1 halfling was not enough. The saw struck again and our leader Big King also was carted off. After that the butchery continued with more kos and a couple of casualties. Turn 8 we had 1 ko return from 6 and second half we had 2 back from 5 which crucially left both our riders off the pitch. Our lineup was a mess and we were thrown around like ragdolls. Our surrounded gobbos failed a handoff and the Halflings easily scored again with a handoff and pass.
We were well beaten but at least had one little hurrah when Big King came back and did one of his trademark leaping runs and blitzes to score.

Was it Nuffle or a chaotic God who was toying with the squigs this day?

Match strategy was already set before the opening whistle: Hold the center with Tot and Spawns, and blitz saw squigs and riders whenever able. That worked - eh - perfect. Rarely have the dice treated me so good and for the majority of the game the gobbos had to do without their nasty pets. Big King made his mark by spending just 5 turns on the pitch but still scoring. Thank you Nuffle for not looking our way this time!
