“Coach Badoek was still unsure if he'd stay in the HUBBA HUBBA league or take it down a notch and play elsewhere when Dark Delft started the play-off against Do As You're Told (DAYT) for the promotion to the first division.
Both Badoek and xnoelx have seen the matches and heard about the monstrosities that are allowed to play in that division and neither coach are looking forward to join it. Foul play was expected and many HUBBA HUBBA officials were seen around the field before, during and after the game, making sure both teams actually tried to win.
And they did, albeit very much against their will. The skaven managed to quickly knock out the newly hired Dark Delft assassin who joined the game somewhere in the second half. The wizard that DAYT had hired only managed to stun a witch elf. The skaven's dirty player rightfully got the mvp for knocking out quite some dark elves, yet not enough to keep the numbers even.
The game went in overtime while it kept raining the entire game, this made for a lot of ugly (foot)ball grabbing by the dark elves who tried to improve their (foot)ball handling skill, which they will need in the next season.
The skaven failed many go for its and where sliding across the wet field left and right while Dark Delft finally secured the ball and got the win.

What didn't happen after the referee ended the game was a party. No celebrating, no champagne, no cocktails, no beer, no prostit.. cheerleaders dancing around. The players all walked to the sideline where a sinister figure and a lawyer were sitting behind a quickly erected table. Master De Witt was there to aid the players in writing down their testaments. Mister Orange subsequently took their orders for their funerals. What a party.
