“This was it, the first match for WoodPusher's rag tag group of demons, abandoned and seeking affection from their sponsors more than the riches and glory of the pitch.

First half starts and the dwarves kick off to us. But, before any of the Demons can react they blitz into our side of the field! After that we form a lose cage, but foolish positioning that must be blamed on the coach leaves the ball carrier, Yslith Star-Eater open, and he is stunned by a Dwarf Blitzer. The dwarves proceed to Knock Out Garrison Frost.

A dwarf runner collects the ball, but Harold "the Maxx" Scholnick smashes into him, forcing him to the ground fumbling the ball. A vicious Troll-Slayer KO's Boneclaw Grimdark and the dwarves once again gain possession of the precious pigskin. However, right out of the Runners blind spot comes Jeffro 'Salty Lips" Ball Slurper from behind Goat Boy and hits the dwarf so hard that he breaks his neck. The dwarf Apothecary manages to fix the neck, but smashes the Runners knee in the process.

Aesthetic Demon catches the scattered ball, despite the presence of two dwarves. Aesthetic Demon is immediately put down by a Troll-Slayer, and a Dwarf Blitzer catches the ball. Goat Boy then puts down the Blitzer, but fails to pick the ball up.

The dwarves capitalize on this relapse, stunning Goat Boy, Knocking Out Harold and clearing the rest of the Abandoned Demons away from the ball. Slaarth tries some heroics, but trips going for it before he reaches the ball. Jeffro is added to the KO box. Turn 5, Dwarves score. Only Garrison Frost recovers consciousness.

The nice weather blows the kick out of bounds for us. Yslith Star-Eater is KO'd trying to defend Lorbata "Ghandi" Gutripper who has the ball. Lorbata is put down, ball bounces to Frost. Frost is put down and the ball bounces to the Dwarf Runner. Everyone is catching bouncing balls today. Unable to reach the Dwarf Runner, he scores. The half ends 2-0 for the Undermount_Slayers.

There are 0/4 KO recoveries. The second half starts, we kick off, and a Dwarf Blocker takes Ch'Thul the Hoarder out of the game. no serious injury, he'll be back next time. With only six players left on the field it's time to mount our counter offence.

As the dwarves slowly but steadily make their way down the pitch, pounding us as they go, they get cocky. They try to mimic elves and pass the ball. The clumsy Dwarf Blitzer drops the catch. Slaarth "The Slovenly" performs a nice blitz, and lands himself next to the ball. unfortunately, he was also next to the sidelines and is sent crowd surfing. On the plus side he is sent to Abandoned Demons fans, and is not hurt. Dwarf Blitzer collects the ball and scores.

Once again, 0/4 KO rolls are successful. After we set up the remaining six players, the dwarves form a Perfect Defence! Grong the Coward picks up the ball and chucks it to Slaarth, Slaarth Goes For It and hands it off to Lorbata. Lorbata blitzes into the Dwarf half and is accompanied by Frost, Aesthetic Demon, and Goat Boy.

The Dwarves manage to kncok down Lorbata, and the ball is sent flying into the crowd. The fans hurl it back towards the dwarves end zone. Again the dwarves try to elfball and again the Blitzer drops the catch. Grong the supposed "Coward" runs out of the blue and drops the Dwarf Blitzer. with the aid of some fancy dodging (thanks to Nuffle) four Demons surround the ball.

Grong is blitzed onto the ball, which pushes it next to Slaarth and one dwarf. One more time the dwarves attempt a pass, this one a long bomb, and the thrower fumbles it. Before we can retaliate, Aesthetic Demon trips himself, and ends up knocked out. the gaem is rapidly ending as a Dwarf Runner fails to pick up the ball, leaving us with a tiny window of opportunity to score. Slaarth takes one step, trips, gets KO'd, and the match is over. The fans must have enjoyed it as both teams got their maximum winnings.
