Starting Turn 2, the Rangers started to lose players - some via the Expats, some by their own (and/or Nuffle's) hand, until it was no contest - 6 to start Turn 4, 4 to start Turn 5 - giving the Lizards the run of the field, and luxury to score with a Saurus.
But altho' there were only 2 Rangers on the pitch when the Lizards scored Turn 8, only 2 were out for the game - a rookie lino and an induced DP. And while the Expats had been busy surfing Rangers onto the Reserve bench, the Rangers had BH'd the only Diving Tackler, and killed the Expat's Sneaky Gimp.
And by 2nd half, all had woken up, so the Rangers had their full lineup (plus wizard) vs. a notably reduced Lizard roster.
A deep kick invited the lizards to commit to a full rush of the ball, and the Rangers took that as the cue to use their Wizard to get past the Krox and break free and clear. Strong pressure encouraged a Turn 3 score - tie game.
Lizards received Turn 3, and had the advantage on paper, but the Pows had left the building for the Expats (3 in the next 17 Blocks?), and the Dodgey Rangers' defense held firm. Turn 16, the Expats had pushed to just barely within scoring range and opened a slim lane, but with the win within grasp their star MA 12 Skink tripped on the Dodge with an epic faceplant, breaking some ribs for MNG to end the game a tie, but with the Expats distinctly on the losing end of the Casualty roster, -4:0.”
