“This was a match of ridiculous injuries for the humans.
There were only 4 casualty rolls made by all game by either side–– and all 4 were RIPs against the humans.
Early on, the human Blitzer (and best hope against the Lizards) died to a freak block by a green saurus. Apo was used.
Next turn, Benedict, the saurus blitzer, declines to PO, (after breaking armor on a catcher) opting to save his strength for the following turn, where he rolled–– I kid you not–– 6,6,6,6,6,6 for Armor/Injury/Casualty against a Guard Blitzer.
The very next turn, he hits a human lineman–– a beautiful and fragile 6447 Blodge-Tackler, giving yet another RIP.
Then Joan, the skink ball-carrier, feels the presence of Nuffle telling her to foul the downed Thrower, with the ejection forthcoming, and the bounce falling directly in to Benedict's hands, which falls into his hands–– a blessing from Nuffle for his offering of splooshes. He takes in for a score.
The humans, on the other hand, can't seem to cause as much as a KO, and rarely even get the saurus to fall down. Although the roll Blitz! on turn 9, they lack the manpower to capitalize on it. The Ogre was misbehaving badly, so––despite some spirited maneuvers by another blitzer–– the saurus dominated the field, with the Krox working up such a hunger that he devoured a human catcher whole on turn 15, mistakenly thinking that the post-game festivities had already begun.
Coach Kharnete was a gentleman thoughout, despite the hard blows Nuffle (and the lizards) were sending his way.
cheers”
