“Great routine game for girls. With very little block and no tackle, girls was prepared to walk right over pact.
Things were under control whole game through. Just a couple things.
Twice, the ball was stolen from thrower with both down. (should've passed it tp blodger) then catcher double failed 3+ in the endzone :/
Finally, ball was stolen with -2d doublepow against blodger from goblin.
Damn the luck. Nuffle punished stalling this time.”
This 6th round matchup saw Decadence take on the much fancied Amazonian team Viidakon Tähtöset. The Pact team fought bravely despite being outmatched on the pitch. It was a game of few real chances for them as the Amazons controled the first half, moving their team up the pitch in an organised fashion. If decadence were ever going to win this game they needed to out-hit their frailer opponents but that plan never looked like coming to fruition as the Viidakon girls dodged blow after blow. Twice in the opening half Decadence managed to dislodge the ball, downing the inexperienced ball-carrier on the spot, but the Amazon's defensive cage was so tight there was never chance to recover the ball. Indeed, in the end, it was only a fumble by a Viidakon catcher that caused the first half to remain scoreless, dropping a perfect throw into the end zone.
The second half started badly for Decadence. A good wide kick proved hard to recover and when their blocking line failed the zon's were in, storming down the line. It didn't take long before they had the ball and were away with no way of catching them. At this point Viidakon coach Maneetti will look back and rue his decision to stop the drive and play for time. Concerned with the league result, and the speed with which Decadence could score, Viidakon captain Anni Uusivirta sat with the ball outside the end zone, a screen of ferocious Amazonians around her, and waited. The Pact captain knew that there was no way through the cage for any of Decadence's hitters so he ordered minute goblin Jacob to push Anni over the line and force the score, giving them a bit more time on the ball to return. In a post match interview with Jacob he was asked about the incident: "I went for my usual tactic and punched her in the groin, forgetting she was a lady like, but she just crumbled, folded up in front of me. I think she's got some testicles kicking around down there somewhere!"
The ball scattered into the crowd, who threw it back towards half way and Ogre blocker Fulgrim managed to recover. Indeed with only 1 more turn the Pact team would have chalked up a score of their own, the ball inreachable by any of the brave Viidakon women by that point, but the hooter sounded and the draw was sealed. An interview with coach Joshua after the match heard him state he was delighted with the result. "I didn't think we'd come out with anything, and we were lucky to, but we're delighted to have made the draw. Praise goes out to Slaanesh for watching over us. We'll make him proud next season."
Decadence's last game of the year will see them take on human team 'It's Cold Outside'. They have a chance to top the league and Decadence, with nothing to play for of their own, will be aiming to upset the party.”
