“For the first time this season we played against some agility. The team were salivating at the opportunity to bust some skulls but also wary that Chaser's War on Cheese have speed the likes of which they have never seen before.
Scarfaced Scavengers marched on to the pitch ready for battle and the delight in their eyes was clear for all to see when they won the coin toss.
Sure enough the rats started dropping like flies, KO after KO in the opening exchanges. The only worry was weather Tramples would be able to pick the ball up, but sure enough he grabbed the ball and cages up ready for the Skaven ballers.
A Gutter Runner tried his luck and darted into the cage to try and take Tramples down but he just managed to push the mutant back. Then came another turn of hardship for the Skaven. The Dwarves killed a linerat and another got groin strain attempting to dodge away from the advancing Chaos Dwarf line.
The Rats had little to no hope now and the Chaos Dwarves marched the ball in moments before the half time whistle.
The Rats still had a possible touchdown in site though our home fans invaded the pitch and stunned a couple of the dirty rats making the one turn TD very tricky.
Needless to say it did not work and the half was over.
The resilient rats all returned from the KO box meaning the second half was 10 aside which worried the Chaos Dwarves. The rats moved the ball back field probing for an opening, hoping to exploit the sluggish movement of the Chaos Dwarves.
They made their move darting down one wing and screening the ball. The Chaos Dwarves were just in rang knocking a corner of the screen on its back and stunning the player, then surrounding the ball carrier.
A Skaven Blitzer attempted to dodge in to the fray to assist the Gutter Runner but he tripped and fell.
The Chaos Dwarves surfed the Gutter Runner and they proceeded to mop up, KO'ing a couple more line rats and picking the ball up with Stompy.
The Chaos Dwarf mutant ran downfield and scored in the last second of the game. 2-0 Only one game left to play, a must win, and we need CIC to draw or lose one of his last two. Sadly its out of hands now but we added another skull to our collection which pleased Khorne, another clean sheet which pleases Nurgle.
What ever happens this championship is going right to the wire.”
