Received the ball and got my blitzers stuck into the skinks was the ideal result. On the line we shoved back the saurus and looked to open the chainsaw on them but it kicked back and we lost the turn.
The bashing continued and it was looking rosy with 4 out from the lizards to one at the half which ended without us putting the score on the board. And the one injury was brutal, with our troll biting the dust, failing the apo and regen roll to fracture his skull. Advantage Lizards?
Second half, the bribe failed and the Lizard line smashed ours back putting one black orc out and then a foolish reengagement saw our merc taken out as well. The blitzers were into the back field and harrassing skinks but unable to get through to the ball carrier. And the aforementioned failed reengagement created a hole that Gordo flew through and a failed lighting strike later he had scored.
Still plenty of time left, lets cause some mayhem. Ruth continually failed to pick up the ball but we were getting the upper hand pressing the skinks and containing the saurus and krox, with Precious going for the fouls.
Gordo made a play for the loose ball and we just about stopped him getting it the ball and then a final turn attempt at glory succeeded.
Ruth finally picked up the ball, this time from a tackle zone. Moved downfield, GFI to make for a safer pass to Johnny Alpha zipped around stranded Saurus, hands off to Bullmoose in skink tackle zone. BLITZ FOR THE WIN succeeds and the game is tied.
Star Player - Durham Red, threw more blocks (9) than anyone on the field and inflicted two causalities from it.”
