“This is now 12 games without a win but we did end the 6 game loss streak with a draw grabbed from a match of much bloody suffering.
Things looked good for a few moments as Haystacks took the ball from a touchback and a zombie was ko'd. Advancement was only a few steps but then Jim injured another zomb. Maybe we could grind them down? But as often recently things turned sour for the wrestlers. As we went up the flank snots were being taken out and then a Wight unleashed a telling blow on Jim Breaks. Was he breathing? Maybe not, but the apo was sober, got him going and patched him up good. We were getting stalled and after some scrapping Haystacks made his break for it. He hesitated but escaped the first tackle before crashing down inches away from the endzone. The Necros decided to surround the ball but they pushed Les into a blocking position. We got a couple down (including a great hit by Haystacks on a Wolf which was regn'd) and then HHM who had been loitering on his own somehow sneaked through, got the ball, and out for the td.
Next setup we put all Ogres on LOS. Well it was a mistake but we didn't expect the INCREDIBLE hurt that was to be laid out. First hit, a Wight badly hurts Les. Next a Wight stuns Haystacks. Next a Wolf does a huge retirement hit on Kendo's skull. And finally a dirty zombie lays serious hurt on Haystacks!
After that we were a mess 2nd half.
Langorcangor waltzed through for a td, helped by a Jake the Snake trip, and the snots who were ko'd in that drive refused to return. So it came down to our final efforts with 2 ogres and 4 snots. Jake the Snake's possession didn't last long and he was injured too. Langorcangor got the ball but finally an error this half from the Necros. The rooky Wolf got excitied and fell over! After that the snots moved around, gave him a tricky path and Tom Thumbs brave block taking and sidestepping saved the tie..We stagger on to next game, poor again.”
