“It was a real knock-down, drag-out affair as the Porkies faced off against Flincolnshire Chaos -- two of the Stunty Leeg's elite young teams, with 38 games and only 1 loss between them. And in the early going, the halflings ruled the day... before the Porkies even had a chance to move, lineman Davis was dead. Injuries to four of the team's top players -- crocodile Molly Hatchet, jaguar Lima, star Kroxigor Wally Gator, and eagle Charlie Kelly Mark 2 -- followed, and while the half ended 0-0, the halflings and their guest star Mincemeat the Mad Butcher had certainly taken the advantage.

Or so it seemed. The pygmies struck quickly in the second half, and unsurprisingly, Eagle Rock was right there in the middle of it. Aided by a daring block from Slim Whitman and a timely pass by Barty, Rock caught the ball in a tackle zone and dodged out to make it 1-0. With only 8 men on the field, there was no thought given to drawing out the possession.

The next drive was a more protracted affair, with the ball changing hands repeatedly. It looked like the Porkies were about to retain the 1-0 advantage, with the clock winding down and Flincolnshire not advancing the ball far past midfield. Whitman blitzed the opposition in turn 6, saw the ball bounce into his hands... and got flattened near the sideline. The ball bounced off the pitch... into the hands of a Porkies fan, who passed it halfway across the field, practically at the feet of Dinklage. The lineman isn't our usual ball-handler, but he showed excellent form this time, blitzing off a defender before grabbing the ball and sprinting into the end zone for a last-minute TD. The closing seconds proved inconclusive, and 2-0 was the final score.
