Great opening turn leading to a strong opening drive, which saw control of the ball and containing the werewolves. The Undead tried to fight back and pushed back our line without causing any pain. And the real victory was one of the werewolves, Keith Loon, losing the fight with Middenface and being out of the game. This created space down the right but we were a little over advantageous in advancing the ball and the speed of John Torrinson who got off the deck and flew across the field to get a shot at ball carrier Middenface but tripped in the process. Allowing a lot of Undead to get smashed around and a blitz to free up the ball for Johnny Alpha to get the +go ahead score.

The Crypt took a quick score creating space on their left, zipping wight Jimi Appendix around the outside, despite two GFI plays including blitzing chainsaw failed to take him out and he dodged out and scored the tying score.

There was still time for the Mutants to score in the first half but a great dodging blitz stripped the ball by Torrinson. This put us on the back foot to score and we didn't fully commit to it and failed to add to the score by half time.

Second half was a bloodbath with the Undead getting their Werewolf into a cage on halfway only for the Orcs to call down a fireball right onto it scattering the ball out the back. A ballsy dash through the prone Undead and then a pass behind a Black Orc defensive wall setup what should be a scoring position. The ball carrier was sent racing clear but that shouldn't have a problem but the supporting blitzer was sent blitzing on a one die rather than cover the werewolf, he fell over and the werewolf was free to fly at Johnny Alpha. And his strip ball prowess was back in play. There was then a long scramble for the ball over in the left wide zone, with Johnny Alpha and John Torrinson spending several turns knocking each other seven bells out of each other but the mutant had the last laugh taking the werewolf out of the game. And Middenface followed it up by taking the other wight out of play as well which should have created enough space for the go ahead score. But there was a lot of dodging including from flesh golem George Harrison and Middenface was on the deck again. But the decisive play was the continued pushing players onto the ball and creating a big scatter loose.

A loose pass failed to connect, strong blitz from Durham Red but she failed to pick up the ball then. Leading to a few turns of everyone failing to pick up the ball. Before a final perfect turn 15 turns from the endzone, dodge, pickup and handoff by Precious to Bullmoose who passes to Middenface who catches inside a golem's tacklezone, dodges out of it and then GFI dive into the end zone to win the match.

MVP - Johnny Alpha takes it over Middenface, both got good touchdowns but big casualty on John Torrinson was a huge event in the game. ”
