I had +10 TV vs PurpleChest, so I was pretty sure he will buy Wizard, and leave me with 140k. So I decidedbuy wizard myself, and give him free 160k for inducements. He probably did not expected this, and added 150k to petty cash himself. This clearly shows dwarves has too much money :P
I win the coin toss, and choose kick (I have blog post about that).
1st turn was blitz, followed by classical bad play by me. I leave to much players in contact, and next turn 5 Khemries (including 2TG) goes on the ground.
For few turns we change hits, and the I do another classical mistake - move my b/g/mb/po/bt TG into chunk of dwarves, next to his PO guy. I watched replay few times, and still cannot figure out reason, why I did that. Oh well. SI + failed regen, and dwarves start to sing song of victory.
The the drama starts. Time for my 6s TG. He dodges one dworf, knocks down another and tackles ball carrier. To bad, ball carrier can dodge, too. He dodges way, and helps blitzer to knock down my T-Ra. Stun. Very important stun. Lightning strikes dwarves runner, and ball scatters away from my players. Still, I can reach the ball with some GFIs. Skeleton tries to free B-Ra, and rolls skulls. Bye, reroll. And the I fail 1st GFI. Dwarves successfully beats few standing players, marks lying ones, and pick ups the ball. And then 1D blocks my SF/DT B-Ra. Skull, RR, Skull. Wow. SF/DT B-Ra marks ball carrier, and 6S TG blitzes. Push+Skull, and BRAINFART. I automatically select result instead rerolling it. After few curses I decide it still not very bad. Runner is marked by 6S TG and SF/DT B-Ra, and all paths are blocked. Opponent will be forced to use wizard. I even have TG in scoring range, just in case.
But no.
-2D block on TG - Pow+Push/Pow. 2D Blitz on SF/DF B-ra - Pow from 1st time. Dwarves scores.
T8, 12 players. FOUL TIME. One dworf goes to BH, apo not used. And successfull pass with 5spp skeleton. Small glimmer of hope.
Second half starts. On T2 I kill 4s blitzer (apo heals), and KO another dwarf. Inspired by these achievements, foul his another blitzer. 2+2, send-off. Blitzer dodges away like elf (who cares about DT), but still falls down few dodges/GFI later. How can I resist such target? Another foul, another send-off. Few turns later, that presky blitzer on the floor again. Third time's the charm, decides my dirty player, and lays boot. Dead dwarf, and another send-off.
Only 6 dwarves vs 7 Khemries on the field, time for triumph card - fireball. Out of 4 target, only one is not able to dodge it. T-Ra stays open for 1D blitz, but it fails. Fend, and anddwarf is forced to GFI for tackle zone. Sliurpt! Path to TD is open. Dwarves try 4+ dodge for 1D blitz, and fails.
Path to TD is open, and 4S Runner is waiting for surf. BRAINFART NR. 2. I have enough players to 2D surf with Wrestle skellie, but I block with naked TG. Both down+Both down. Bye RR. Runner goes into reserve, of course.
On T16 dwarves remove 1 more skellie.
Overtime. 7 Khemries vs. 8 Dwarves, but I have the ball.
Kick is super deep, Dwarves get Blitz!. Blitzes my TG with dauntless. Dauntless fail, skull, reroll, skull. KO. WOW. 7 vs 7.
T-Ra picks up the ball and rushes forward. My skellie hold one dwarf, TG another. So, actually its 5 vs 5.
Eventually dwarf fails 1D block vs skellie. I can freely set up the cage, and I screw up a bit (when I watched replay, I noticed at least 2 better options.
Still, everything looks fine until Troll Slayer Jump ups, and blocks 6S TG. Dauntless works, 1D - Push, Dauntless works - Push/Pow, BH (regen).Kids, thats classic example how TG's die. Not From CLAWPOMB, but from stupid lucky 1D.
Any way, situation is bad. Dwarves have 2 free players, I - only ballcarrier, and my B-ras marked by 4 STR.
I decide dodge with skellie for assist, 2D blitz with T-Ra, and 2x GFi for score. Skellie dodge eats RR, blitz rolls Pow, and then I realize my mistake. Fend. Not enough movement to score.
I move T-Ra as far as possible without GFI, and move SF/DT to mark the only player, who can blitz my T-Ra.
Like that matters... 5+ dodge without RR from the first time, 2D T-Ra, only push. Then Few GFI, and my T-Rais stuck.
Honestly, that 5+ dodge broke my will, I decided that game is coin toss at best, I I started doing dumb stuff from then.
My best options was: -2D blitz runner (Push is OK, so 16/36). I tried 1D blitz to free up my B-Ra, then that failed, tried 5+ 4+ dodge for TD. Rolled 6, 1. Stun.
Later I had few opportunities to make life harder for Runner, but I was to pissed to look for them (I can clearly see them now, in reply).
Still, Runner needed 5 GFIs, and like in a good movie, Runner kept intrigue till the end, and failed only last one.
1-1, and PurpleChest won Penalty shots 6:4.
Crazy game, and pretty lucky for me. But opponent got even more lucky in 2 critical moments. 3, if we count penalty shots.
Time to prepare for BC minor.
