“Strange game, but a fun one.

Game started with a Human Blitz, which put the Nurgle on the back foot. The Nurgle managed to get the ball to semi safety, but the Humans knocked it free, knocking it straight to the hand of another Nurgle.

Dice then swung both ways, before the Nurgle finally managed to get free and upfield, pressured into scoring T6, giving the humans 2 turns to reply.

The human catcher was out (heat) so the Nurgle setup to try and disrupt any human pass (DP) and a perfect defence allowed the setup to be improved. However the ball scattered out and the humans had the ball at the LoS and ran upfield. The 2D Nurgle Blitz failed to down the carrier and he made the GFI for TD 1-1.

Then came the second half. The Humans received and started moving towards the end zone and then it happened. A foul from the humans got their player sent off and a gap appeared for the carrier to be blitzed. Then over the period of about 3 turns everything went wrong for the Humans and their numbers suddenly dwindled, leaving the Nurgle to walk towards the end zone and take the game 2-1.

A really close and fun game, with dice swinging both ways until the second half, when Nuffle handed the game to the Nurgle.

However, this is the second time these teams have played and the last time the humans destroyed the Nurgle 3-0, so it was nice to have avenged that defeat.
