“This was two COMPLETELY different halves of football...
At the beginning of the match, I had nothing but 1's (two sets of snakes in two turns, one of which left the ball wide open for score #2). All of a sudden, air's connection started going wonky. When he stabilized, the dice completely turned.
It went 2-0, but I put up a quick score at the end of the first. Drove the kickoff home right away, thanks to the speed of superstar Justin Clapp, and tied it at 2.
Air decided to play for a late win, which is exactly what he should have done. I managed to get a lineman on Billy the Bow deep in the backfield, and tried to set up for a hopeful interception.
Air got the thrower free, and chucked a ball toward the upper catcher (the one not on the sideline), but t'was a pass too long for Mr. Bow. He couldn't hammer it home, and the scatter fell right to Kawika Ornellas, despite being covered by the General Sherman, his treeman. Ornellas broke free and handed to Schroeder, who heaved it down the field to the goal line. Hawaii managed to stall it from there, thanks to some great blocking dice, and Hawaii won a squeaker, 3-2.
The dice here told the story. If the dice had been even remotely balanced after turn 6 in the first half, this would be a 4-2 loss for me, but Nuffle had other plans.
I thank you air for getting this in, despite the day mix-up originally, and being a good sport about the awful dice. Best of luck to you and HSU.”
