“One of the most humiliating games I had in a while.
I don't tend to give up on a game easily but in this one my morale was pretty much crushed after the first 4 turns.
Although a defensive setup is generally preferable against Skaven, I decided to commit to the frontline early on to get some cas in, wich meant 1 ogre + assists, leaving hte backyard rather open.
I figured to even stand a bit a of chance, I'd need a large edge and a lot of luck. The Gutters were stronger than my snots and could essentially get them everywhere. My Ogres were too slow and too unreliable to have them move all over the pitch, so I decided to go for a probability wise problematic snot pick, ogre hand off strategy. Probably a mistake in retrospective.
Anyways, I wasn't particularly unlucky. The ball actions didn't go too good.. The cas came in well but my spirit was just crushed. My opponent landed two 25% shots on Ogre carriers so it was pretty much a nightmaire whatever I did. This helped me to commit a bit more on cas causing than I usually do. In half two I figured I might at least score an honor TD. A stream of lucky rolls and the players I had previously taken out gave me a shot. In the end I figured skilling the Ogres was more important and failed to deliver the final TD by 3 both down on an Ogre blitz.
If one thing can be learned from this is that committing to cas against skaven in this constellation is probably not the wisest move. ”
