I am not a warrior.
Very soon, you will be.
After having fended off an orc invasion (or rather, the orcs pillaged the village and made off with the plunder), the Warriors of Valhalla had to take on a marauding band of ogres. These ogres brought some hired muscle in the form of a chainsaw and a bomb thrower! The chainsaw wreaked havoc, but the bomber cost his team the first TD. Ragnar the Dour intercepted a bomb and shrewdly threw it at the feet of an ogre and the snotling ballcarrier. He also was caught in the blast but it caused a turnover and left the ball wide open. Weath snagged the ball and got it to Skeld. It was close, but Skeld was finally able to score. Bribes for both teams allowed Nobbla to hang around but the ref tossed Dribblesnot out. Some good fortune allowed Herger to get the ball away from a snotling before the half ended and the Thirteen went up 2-0. However, the bruising blows from the ogre brutes were taking their toll and the Valhalla squad played the rest of the game short-handed. We still had our bribe, so Hyglak put his quarrelsome boot to good use. The biased ref intervened on the second quarrel, though, and ejected Hyglak while keeping our bribe (1,1 armor roll, 1 on the bribe roll). Stingy b@$tich! A daring play by a brave snotling snagged the ball out of a scrum that Weath refused to wade into and he was off to the races. Fortunately he tripped over his own feet and KO'd himself. Ahmed raced to the ball, picked it up and threw to Weath. Weath caught and ran down the field (with a gfi) to hand off to Helfdane the Large. His huge mitts almost dropped the handoff but fate intervened (reroll) and he was able to lumber into the endzone for a 3rd score. Then 4 players in the KO box looked at the 4 players on the field and said, 'screw coming back now!'. No permanent damage was done (phew) and the game ended on a failed handoff trying for a TTM 1 TTD.
Happy from their victory, but looking a bit worse for wear, the squad will celebrate tonight with mead, wenches and tale-telling. We will miss Roneth, we will miss his sword.”
