A kick that nestles right in the corner, perfect defense, and a thrower that falls over on the 1st go for it. Looks like this will be a tough match to win for the 'Saws. The vamps fail blood lust but they're primed, ready to pounce.

Aztec fluffs the pick up and throw. It's 0-1 surely and the fans are still arriving! Nope, something has the vampires lusting for blood far beyond their normal habits and a failed dodge sees one swoop off the field to satiate its needs.

Soon after, vampire Kris the Nightshade falls under the fists of "Da Poleaxe" Poloq, the head crushed and the brains on the pitch. The apothecary picks up the grey matter which turns to ash in his hands. This one is not coming back again. The Provocateur is helpless as his team concedes.

A beautiful one turn score is orchestrated with just 8 players on the vampire team. However, the fast Eva Avarice once again lusts for blood and her toes don't quite land in the end zone before she flies off to find an unlucky hunk.

With blood potions quaffed in the interval, a sweet long bomb is tossed for 1-1. Game on!

Then vampire magic and the ball is loose. The freak vampire Dresden Dracul snaps up the ball, but fails the dodge and is injured. He regenerates but is out of the drive.

Fortunately for the 'Saws, we have a vampire of our own. Aztec is central to the final drive. He tussles with Eva until she falls at his feet, failing to dodge past after having stolen the ball. It bounces into his hands and there's little The Provocateur can do to prevent the winner albeit tiring orcs amuse the spectators by knocking themselves down.

Datha "Druid" Soloman grinned ear to ear after the game. He proclaimed, "I knew it would work!" What would work? The smiling 'Saws staff deny the rumours of spiking the vampire drinks to make them thirst for blood even more.
