Prince Wyclif - Face the Wendol one night and then speak to us of courage.
Buliwyf - I thank the lord for his advice, though I don't recall hearing any exploits of his. Apart from killing his brothers.
The king of the village hosted a feast for the Warriors of Valhalla in honor of their recent victories. Battered and bruised, the Thirteen gladly accepted. But there was treachery afoot. The king's enemies showed up and taunted the weakened Warriors, bringing bribes and babes to bolster their courage. Not even having 11, let alone their usual 13, the Warriors grabbed two of the king's villagers accepted the taunts of challenge from the Nightmare Angels. Unbeknownst to anyone present, those two villagers were secretly the Einherjar Roneth and Haltef, returned from Valhalla to fight for honor and glory. The first half the Warriors clashed with the Angels in a fierce fight, but the KOs finally caught up to the king's foes and it was they who suffered the nightmare. But the babes got everyone back on their feet in time for the 2nd half and it kicked off 10 vs. 10. The Nightmare Angels gave back as good as they got to the Warriors, and came within a few paces of scoring the equalizer. Fortunately for the Valhalla squad, Edgtho was nimble on his feet and dodged a harasser to lay out Gordon Went. The ball went out of bounds and the crowd tossed it into a tantalizing spot for both teams. Then Helfdane cut off the only route to the ball and the game was over. Well, after another round of fighting by both squads that is.
The Nightmare Angels talked of courage and displayed it on the pitch. But the Valhalla Thirteen demonstrated that luck will save a man often as not if his courage holds. It's good to have Roneth and Haltaf back in the squad.”
