The ground was hard in the first half, as 4 Maniorx and one Clan orc left the pitch. Da Anchor did one good thing and then took the rest of the game off in the KO dugout. Worthless Troll. It got even harder in the second half when a searing sun came out from behind the clouds to bake the clay-lined soil into a brick-hard surface.
The Maniorx were unable to stop the score in the first half but had a chance to tie it up at half time. Alas, The Druck was unable to get the ball down field due to orcs being poor receivers. Second half the Maniorx executed a masterful plan getting the ball down the field, only to be nearly undone by a desperate but heroic attempt by a Clan orc to blitz the ball free and The Druck into the dugout. Fortunately the Maniorx were rallied by the loss of their leader to an inspiring display of ball handling skills. Poundtonio Anderson snagged a loose ball from the scrum and trundled downfield (with 2 gfis) to deliver the rock into the waiting mitts of Wrecker Hogans who scored and earned a much-deserved MVP award from the crowd.
All insinuation from the Shadowlands about 'unseemly' relations between Maniorx and various entities is pure slander and completely baseless. But they will not go unnoted, as these two undefeated squads could very well face one another again before the season is over. The Druck and Da Anchor shall remember your vile prevarication ;)
(good game, fangbanger. I am going to beat you in this league. Some day. No really, I mean it.)”
