The first half is worth watching. The second half is only fun if you like watching rats go sploosh. Hey, k, this probably makes a good replay.
Rats won the coin toss, elected to kick. We set our line off to the north, and the rats set up for a southbound drive in response. Kick was rather tame, and the Skaven managed to set up a nice scoring threat box on the south side, punching pretty hard on the north side, killing my Thrower and a lineman. I collapsed the cage, and the Skaven responded by reinforcing it, so we bolted the carrier and created a nasty, horrid scrum over the ball.
Those kinds of battles have no winners, but Zee Ratz is an 11-man squad, and can't afford the give-and-take, especially since most of my Mighty Blow stayed upright. The rats used their Apothecary (unsuccessfully) to save a Gutter Runner, while we let some players die (one was a three-skill Thrower) and then took an auto-success on a Badly Hurt result. The scrum happening on the sidelines as it did, the ball got thrown in, and it was only magnificent luck that Jump Jump (#15) managed an end-of-turn dodge and two GFIs to pick it up. By that point, Zee Ratz were gassed: they got two guys onto my carrier, but couldn't hold their ground and on Turn 7 he chucked a Short Pass to Catch Sight (#5), who ran it in as time ran out on the half.
The second half featured about two good turns, and then was just all bloodbath. I received against just five Skaven, though three of them sported killy stuff and one was a Gutter Runner. They got a Perfect D, made me fight a little bit getting the ball downfield. I got control, whittled him down, and ran in the TD. He set up 3 guys on offense, got to knock a lineman down and grab the ball to try to hold out 3-0 or snake a score, but his RO and TMB lino went out, and my blitz on his GR with Catch Sight cas'ed him and popped the ball right into CS's hands. We clicked through, CS scored (and skilled, and earned it) on T8, and all his KO rolls failed on his T8, yielding a "free touchdown" at the end of the game (hence the 4-0 score, even though we only took 3 to the house).”
