“Fumbbl Cup game ... I tried, I really did.

Scored early to get ahead early while I still had some players, aiming to concentrate on defence with the Wizard ... 1-0. Slowed the CDs down and finally had a decent shot on the Str 4, Blodge Sure Hands ball carrier so I launched the wizard ... 1 (fizzle). CDs score for 1-1.

Second half a pitch invasion downs most of the CDs, so manage to pressure the carrier and eventually get in a 1D for a POW (had wrestle ready for both down), and grabbed the ball, but a snaked dodge handed the ball back to the CDs. Eventually found another chance and got in another 1D and another POW, but was unable to recover. CD's went on to score for 1-2.

T16 tried to setup a OTS. kick off result ... Rain! managed to push all the right players into all the right places andf got the pass away, catcher dodges out, run towards the end zone and ... GFI 1 ... game over.

I did all I could, but the wizard fail was my main plan out of the window, but the real killer was the snaked dodge after turning the ball over. Had I made the OTS at the end I think the game woudl have gone to whoever received, but we will never know.
