We scored on defense to start the game, when a Blitz! put the ball right into our gutter's hands. There was a bit of a back-and-forth for it, as it wasn't secure, but it was still a quick score. That was it. 1-0.
We screwed up repeatedly on the next drive, but Nuffle saw fit to prevent the score with Nurglefied ball handling.
To start the second half, we tried to OTT to take the 2-0 lead and force the Nurgles to play wide open to catch up. Our one-turner embarrassingly failed his GFIs, burning through both Sure Feet and a team reroll. He dropped the ball in the end zone, only to get double-marked, and with Tentacles. We spent the rest of the half fighting for the ball, finally securing it in T8 to turn the last-gasp attempt for a TD into an INT.
